As scheduled Beyrege 2008/9 meetup happened on 16 Dec 2008. The turnout, according to some, was about 98 percent.

For those who made it to the event, an opportunity to meet and greet relatives under one roof is something that they seem to talk about and appreciate. Little effort from everyone made this event possible. Uncle Zubair offered the outdoor space/venue. Relatives from each house prepared a dish or a drink and we had plenty of food and drink for sharing among all. Cousin Rafiu, brother Zahid and friend Dhagandaa were the official photographers and plenty of pictures were captured on camera. History is made and it is hoped that pictures will tell the story.
